Green Building Analyst (Full Time)
15 lightyears is looking for an Energy & Certification Analyst to join the Orlando based “Crew” to support our Green Certification Department to coordinate and process Florida Green Building Certification, Water Star Certification, and ENEGY STAR for new homes. This position communicates green construction practices, environmental conservation and sustainable product selection in order to consult builders and clients on their models, standards and specifications. Duties & Responsibilities:
Review construction drawings, specifications and design for compliance of residential homes that are applying to receive Florida Green Building Certification.
Data entry and review for residential homes that are applying to receive ENERGY STAR for New Homes Certification.
Communicate and act as a resource to Home Builder Clients about green building standards and requirements in order to achieve certification.
File and organize photos, specifications and other documentation in Dropbox and excel.
Process and submit documentation for green building projects for certification.
Visit job sites to perform job checks and attain photos when needed.
Coordinate with superintendents, product manufacturers and technical reviewers.
Assist with project development for Solar PV and Energy Testing departments by collecting data, providing research, and data analysis;
Organize and enter home characteristics into Energy Gauge software in order to build home energy models which include insulation, appliances, HVAC systems, lighting and electrical systems, and air quality.
Perform data review, quality check, and processing of test results and information sent in by field technicians.
Qualifications and Required Skills
Training and work or volunteer experience in Construction, Sustainability, Green Building, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Compliance or related topics.
Passion for sustainability and education
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Experience with Dropbox, Google Docs, and Hightail
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint
Ability to pass drug test and background check
Knowledge of green building programs, including USGBC LEED, Energy Star, Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC), Florida Water Star, etc.
Knowledge of green building principles and products
LEED Green Associate
Bachelor’s degree in construction, design, architecture, engineering, environmental
studies, or business management.

Compensation and Benefits:
$24,960 to $31,200 per year based on experience.
