Job Duties 

  • Conduct and record various home energy tests and inspections that will qualify homes for certification and code compliance. Specific testing includes, blower door, duct blaster, airflow readings.

  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company vehicle and warehouse at HQ.

  • Keeps measurement equipment functioning by following operating instructions and requesting repairs as needed.

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

  • Communicate with HQ Scheduling, customers, and project superintendents on progress, issues, and findings.

  • Arrive on-time and ready to perform daily work.

  • Ability to self-manage time and job tasks effectively.

 

Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Driver’s License with safe and responsible driving record

  • All Crew members must be able to pass drug test and background check

  • Commitment to performing high quality work

  • Ability to work well with smart phone apps and tablets

  • Excellent service and respect toward customers and Crew members

  • Building and residential construction knowledge is preferred

  • Strong time management skills and self-motivation

  • Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds


Work Schedule

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and optional Saturdays as needed. Potential for overtime is available.

15 lightyears Headquarters is located in Longwood, FL. Job is performed on various constructions sites across the state of Florida.


Training & Preferred Qualifications

  • Our Crew Leaders will provide ongoing technical training and exam preparation that will lead up to passing a RESNET HERS test. For interested technicians wishing to pursue personal Rater Certification will be provided reimbursement for fees.

  • Certified RESNET HERS Rater or Field Inspector in good standing with RESNET.

  • Previous experience or training in building trades such as roofing, air conditioning, plumbing, construction, electrical.
