Responsibilities 

  • Inspects, fills, and stages orders in accurate, thorough, and efficient manner in accordance with established Company standards and procedures. Understands unit of measure.

  • Inspects merchandise to include checking for shortages and rejecting damaged goods.

  • Communicates shortages of merchandise through proper channels to ensure accurate billing.

  • Contact suppliers on adjustments, incorrect material, or delivery problems.

  • Responsible for overseeing purchasing for our warehouse, negotiating purchase prices with various vendors, monitoring sales trends, and adjusting accordingly.

  • Maintain all option costs at the community and plan level. Support Design Studio Manager as necessary to add options and adjust option sales pricing.

  • Negotiates pricing and maintains projects to reduce overall spending.

  • Responsible for maintenance of purchase records, processing receipts, follow up and expediting orders.

  • Receives, stocks, and re-warehouses merchandise on a daily basis as requested by immediate supervisors. Understands warehouse locator system.

  • Prepares product for shipment to include packaging for safe shipping, plus labeling and marking.

  • Handles stock in a careful and safe manner; conscious of quality and eliminating damage.

  • Practices and adheres to established safety rules and policies, as well as, established housekeeping standards. Performs equipment safety review. Report any violations or hazards to management immediately.

  • Operates assigned warehouse equipment in performing the functions of the job

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.

  • Set up Purchasing and Inventory parameters in Epicor, monitor and revise as business requirements change.

  • Monitor product costing/changes and report to Management.

  • Participates in annual inventory.

  • One to two years of previous warehouse experience in a distribution environment is desirable

  • Experience operating distribution warehouse material handling equipment (see below)

  • Experience working in an electronic/computer work environment


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in Solar Installation

  • 1 Year Experience Leading Solar Installation Crews

  • High School Degree

  • Equipment Operator Certifications

  • OSHA 30 (Preferred)

  • Clean Driving Record

  • NABCEP (Preferred)


License

  • Driver (Required)

  • Certified Forklift Operator (Preferred)


Working Conditions

Work performed in unheated and/or un-air-conditioned warehouses. Employees may be exposed to cold, heat, damp, or humid conditions. Will work around moving machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Will be exposed to exhaust fumes and paper dust. The noise level in the work environment is often loud. 15 lightyears Headquarters is located in Longwood, FL. Job is performed in several counties across Central Florida.
